Week 4: Webquest via Zunal

This week, we worked on our webquest. We got into groups and picked a specific topic and created a webquest at zunal.com.

This is a picture of my webquest.
This webquest can be found at http://www.zunal.com/webquest.php?w=135489

1. The concept of this project was to teach students about the solar system in a fun, inclusive manner. We chose a topic that would be enjoyable to students.

2. We chose the solar system because it is a very interesting and fun topic for students. The learning outcome of the webquest was to make students identify all the planets in our solar system and place them in the right order. Then they will also answer questions about the solar system and solve the crossword puzzle.

3. This webquest will improve the students learning in that they will be able to have fun and learn about the solar system, and have fun using different resources and web materials.

4. The most important lesson that I learned in this activity is how to use webquests.

5. I liked this webquest because it was very easy to use and also fun for students.

6. Next time, I will try to make more activities for the webquest and I will also have more ease in creating this activity.

Week 3 February 9, 2012

Today we worked on creating our blogs. It was my first time creating a blog, and it was interesting.

1. We had to go to www.blogger.com and sign up first. Then we created our blog and added each other's
    links.

2. It is helpful to me because I learned how to create a blog and I can use the blog later as a teacher.

3. I can use the blog to post news, assignments, projects, share things from the classroom with others and
    etc.

4. Blogger- 9/10 It is very useful and simple to use once you get the hang of it. It has many uses.
Week 2 January 26, 2012

Today we worked on www.wordle.com and buble.us

1. Wordle was a site where we wrote down descriptions of each other and created a "word wall."
Buble.us was a site where we created bubbles so that we could show relationships and links.

2. Wordle was helpful in that it could be used to list characteristics of students and make it as a name
plate. Buble was a site where we could use brainstorming and links and relationships in the classroom
    with the computer.

3. Wordle can be used as a name tag, and also as a "dictionary" for certain words. Students can write
synonyms and related words or definition with the word. Buble can be used for story mapping,
compare and contrast, and many more.

4. Worlde - 8/10 because it was nice and easy to use.
Buble- 8/10 because it was very simple and neat but somewhat confusing to use at first.
